Our History

The Black Police Officers Association (BPOA), was founded in 2013 by Kenneth Fox and Marcus Taylor, with the support of Anthony Conner, to create an inclusive organization that bridges the gap between the black community and law enforcement.  Internally, we focus on increasing the minority representation in the Omaha Police Department and assisting officers in job advancement and leadership.  Externally, we organize a variety of events and programs throughout the year to educate and inspire the community.
